Uploads

Uploads

Not every clip you want to post comes from Twitch. Maybe you cut a moment yourself in your editor, made a montage, or exported something from a different stream. Uploads is how those clips get into EzClap and onto the same conveyor belt as everything else.

Uploads is part of the paid plan (the trial includes it). Free accounts can open the page and see what it does, but cannot upload.

What uploads takes

  • Finished vertical clips (9:16), up to 61 seconds — the same rule as Twitch clips, which stop at 60.
  • mp4, mov or webm.
  • Horizontal footage is not accepted here. It still comes in from Twitch through the Super Editor.

Uploads go straight from your browser to storage. Big files go up in several parts at once, so a fast connection is used fully, and if you refresh the page mid-way, the card comes back as upload paused: pick the same file again and it continues where it stopped. Every upload has a cancel link.

The two ways a clip can go

Once a file is checked, its card shows in the grid. Select it and you get two options under the template picker.

Polish (default)

EzClap treats the clip like a Twitch clip that already has the right shape: it fits the picture into the 1080x1920 frame, adds your template logo, matches the loudness to every other clip, and generates auto captions if that is enabled for your account. The clip lands on your dashboard with a thumbnail, ready for the clip editor, Spotlight and auto-publish.

Finished clip

Flip finished clip: will go straight to the clips dashboard when your edit already has captions and its own branding. Nothing is added: no captions, no logo, no loudness change. If the file already matches the standard (H.264, AAC, within 1080x1920) it is copied untouched, so there is no quality loss at all. The switch remembers your last choice.

Category

We cannot detect the game inside your own file, so each clip gets a category from you. It picks the template and the thumbnail art, and it is used as the game tag when the clip is published.

  • Click the category tag on a card to set the category for that clip alone. Recent categories are offered as chips with their game art; the search finds any Twitch category.
  • The category for all selected clips picker in the panel applies one category to everything you have selected.
  • No category is fine: the clip is filed under "Upload" and your default template is used.

Before anything starts, a confirmation lists every clip with its art, category and either its template or the finished tag, so a wrong category is caught before it costs a slot.

Processing

Select up to 10 clips and press start processing. Finished clips render first, since they take a second, so your dashboard fills up right away. Processing shows the same progress as the Super Editor, on the uploads page and on the clips dashboard. The two share one processing lane per account: while uploads run, the Super Editor waits and says so, and the other way round.

Produced clips are named <category>_ULClip_01 and so on, so they are easy to tell apart from Twitch clips, and the clip editor shows an upload icon next to the title. From there they behave exactly like any other clip: trim, captions, remove facecam, spotlight, share, auto-publish.

Slots

  • You get 45 uploads a month, for every paid status alike. The counter resets on the 1st, and the pill on the uploads page fills up as you use them; hover it for the reset date.
  • A slot is used when you press start for a clip. Uploading, staging and removing files is free.
  • A clip that was made keeps its slot, even if you delete the clip from the library later. Processing the same upload again after deleting its clip costs nothing.
  • A failed render returns its slot when you remove the failed card.
  • Receipts: click the slots pill to see every slot movement of the month with a running total, so there is never a question about where a slot went.

Studio space

Uploaded files stay in your studio after processing, so EzClap can re-render them later (for example to remove the facecam, or to process the clip again after you deleted it from the library). Studio space is 3 GB per account, separate from your library storage, and nothing in it expires: you free space with the trash button on a card. Removing a finished upload never touches the clip in your library.

The cards

  • ready — checked and waiting. Select it, set its category, start.
  • processing — running. Track it on the clips dashboard.
  • in your library — done, with an open in clips link. The upload stays in the studio until you remove it.
  • the clip was deleted from your library — the upload is still here; select it to process it again.
  • failed — something went wrong; the reason is on the card. Select it to retry, or remove it to get the slot back.
  • rejected — the file could not be used (too long, horizontal, not a video). Nothing was charged.

Tips

  • Export at 1080x1920, H.264 with AAC audio, and finished clips are copied bit for bit.
  • Set the category before you select several clips: the panel picker then applies it to all of them in one go.
  • Keep the source in the studio until you are sure you will not want to re-render the clip; it costs no slots, only space.
