Spotlight Queue
Spotlight is your curated publishing queue. You pick the clips, you set the order — and EzClap's automation (StreamSync or DailyDrop) publishes them one by one. Nothing is ever auto-posted that you didn't explicitly spotlight.
Adding a clip to Spotlight
- Open a clip in the caption editor from your Clips dashboard.
- Review the clip: trim it, generate and polish captions, and set its upload title in the title field at the top.
- Click add to spotlight. The button switches to spotlighted (active), and the clip card gets a star badge on the dashboard.
Spotlighted clips are protected: the Pro auto-cleanup sweeper never deletes clips in Spotlight.
Ordering the queue
On the Clips dashboard, switch to the Spotlight view (the spotlight button in the toolbar shows how many clips are queued). While it's active:
- Spotlighted clips become a drag-and-drop queue — drag cards to change when they publish.
- Each position wears a publish slot tag showing its expected publish date based on your current engine mode and schedule. The leftmost clip posts next.
- Reordering, unpinning, or deleting reshuffles the dates live, and slots whose dates changed pulse so you can see the effect.
If you're in StreamSync mode with category matching, slot tags also warn you when a queued clip's game won't match and might be skipped — see fallback logic in StreamSync.
Reviewing the queue
The dedicated Spotlight page gives you a fullscreen review mode for everything queued:
- Flip through clips with the on-screen arrows or the left/right arrow keys; a thumbnail strip along the bottom shows the whole queue.
- Quick actions under the player: captions (jump into the caption editor), download, unpin (remove from Spotlight), and delete.
- Press Esc to close and return to the dashboard.
This is the last-look pass most streamers do before letting automation run: confirm titles, captions, and order in one sitting.
How clips leave the queue
When StreamSync or DailyDrop publishes a clip, it drains from the front of the queue automatically and is marked as released. You can also manually mark any clip as released from its dashboard card, or unpin it at any time from the Spotlight page or the caption editor if you change your mind.
Keep the queue topped up — DailyDrop in particular needs at least one spotlighted clip to have something to post on each scheduled day. The Super Editor is a quick way to refill the queue from your clip history between streams.
