Publishing to TikTok
EzClap posts your finished vertical clips straight to TikTok through the official TikTok API — automatically via StreamSync or DailyDrop, with per-post compliance controls when you post manually.
Connecting your TikTok account
- Open the auto-publish page and find the TikTok card under socials.
- Click connect and authorize EzClap on TikTok. This authorization is separate from your Twitch login and only covers posting to your own account.
- Once connected, the card shows your TikTok display name and avatar. Use the × on the pill to disconnect (with a confirmation step).
Configuring posting defaults
- Enable Posting — the master switch for TikTok automation; the status badge shows posting enabled/disabled.
- Extra Hashtags — a hashtag template appended to every post, e.g.
#gaming #{category} #ezclap. The#{category}token auto-inserts the clip's game as a hashtag, so a Fortnite clip posts with #fortnite without you thinking about it — no need to update your settings every time you switch games. Keep hashtags here, in the dedicated hashtag section, rather than stuffing them into the clip title. - Privacy — Public, Friends, or Private (Only Me). New connections default to private so you can test safely.
- Allow users to: — toggles for Comment, Duet, and Stitch on your posts.
Click apply settings to save. The post's caption text comes from the clip's title, set in the caption editor's title field, plus your hashtag template.
Posting manually
When you trigger a post yourself (the post now flow), TikTok requires explicit per-post choices, so EzClap shows a TikTok post settings dialog:
- Choose who can watch the video (Everyone, Friends, or Only Me).
- Set the interaction toggles (comment / duet / stitch).
- Optionally enable Disclose commercial content if the post promotes yourself or a third party — TikTok labels it accordingly.
- Click post now.
Automated StreamSync/DailyDrop posts use your saved defaults instead.
What actually gets uploaded
The uploaded file is your final rendered clip: vertical 9:16 layout from your template, your branding, and burned-in captions. Burned-in captions matter double on TikTok — sound-off viewing is common, and native TikTok caption placement can collide with the UI. Troubleshooting
- Nothing posts — confirm Enable Posting is checked, the engine mode is applied, and your Spotlight queue has clips.
- Post went to the wrong audience — check the privacy default on the TikTok card; per-post dialogs only affect manual posts.
- Connection expired — reconnect from the TikTok card; the activity feed logs failed runs so you'll spot problems quickly.
